Since the Unilevel Bonus is based on orders placed by customers in your downline after their first order, the Unilevel Bonus typically accounts for the lion's share of your total monthly commissions. As a result, it is good to understand exactly how this is calculated.

One of the common misconceptions about the Unilevel Bonus is that it is simply 5% of your monthly Group Volume, but this is an inaccurate way of looking at it.

First, the Unilevel Bonus is only earned on orders down to Level 8 for which you are qualified due to your Rank. For instance, a Consultant will not earn commissions for orders placed on Level 5. This means that, even if your organization extends down to Level 8, you are not always entitled to 5% (3% for Level 7 and 8) of your total monthly Group Volume, since Group Volume is based on orders placed all the way down to Level 8.

Second, the Unilevel Bonus does not count first orders placed by new members. The bonuses for first orders are paid out on the weekly commissions schedule, and therefore are already paid by the time the monthly commissions are being paid out. We do not pay out twice for first orders.

So, to sum that all up, in order to calculate your actual expected Unilevel Bonus for a given month, you must take your Group Volume for the month, subtract the volume from all first orders, and then subtract the volume for all orders that are deeper in your organization than you can get credit for (i.e. if you are a Consultant, subtract all volume from Level 5-8).
