Purium does not use the harmful plastic microbeads that are found in so many other exfoliating and cleansing products. Any exfoliating Purium skincare product contains Simmondsia Chinensis, (known commonly as Jojoba) seed powder, which works to gently remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.


The ingredient in the BIO Cleanser, "Acrylates / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer" is actually a form of tree resin that acts as a thickener for the cleanser.


This ingredient has been rated as a 1 on a scale from 1 to 10 by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) in regard to whether it is hazardous or not.
