FedEx does not ship to PO Boxes. If a customer selects Flat Rate, Fedex 2nd Day, Overnight, or any other FedEx shipping method, and they are trying to ship to a PO Box, shipping will send the following email:
In this case we need to contact the customer:
- The first thing you do is call the customer, explain that we cannot ship to the desired address with the current shipping method and that they need to either provide a physical address or change shipping method to USPS(Canada MUST have physical address).
- If there is no answer, leave a voicemail explaining why you called. That will assist the customer and customer service, when they return your call.
- Once you’ve called AND left a voicemail, leave a note on the account like the example below:
When you have successfully attained a physical address (NOT a PO Box), reply to the initial escalations email with the corrected address so that we can notify the shipping department and make the necessary changes.
